RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Two young men drowned while bathing in a stream near Adiala Road in Rawalpindi on Sunday, rescue officials said.

According to Rescue 1122, the victims were identified as 24-year-old Hilal and 19-year-old Zeeshan. Both reportedly entered the stream to bathe but moved into deeper water and were unable to return safely.

Rescue personnel launched an immediate search and recovery operation after receiving the emergency call. The bodies of both victims were recovered from the water and shifted to a local mortuary.

Initial reports suggest the two youths accidentally entered a deep section of the stream while bathing. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

Authorities have urged the public to avoid swimming or bathing in streams, canals and other water bodies, particularly during the monsoon season when water levels and currents can change rapidly.
