Foreign elements dividing Kashmiris in AJK: Khawaja Asif

Summary Khawaja Asif said that three generations of his ancestors belong to Kashmir and ‘we are all one on the issue of Kashmir’.

SIALKOT (Dunya News) – Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said some elements sitting in London are dividing Kashmiris of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), urging them not to create division in national’s interest.

Speaking at a public rally here on Saturday, the defence minister said a joint candidate of the Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) will be fielded from Sialkot for the Azad Kashmir elections, adding the 'Kashmiris' sitting in London should not create division.

Khawaja Asif said that three generations of his ancestors belong to Kashmir and ‘we are all one on the issue of Kashmir’.

He said some elements sitting in London should not create division among Kashmiris, as these people have been living there since 1952.

The defence minister said that those who criticise the Pakistani military are financially supported, adding soldiers are making sacrifices for the defence of the country.
He said everyone should work for the betterment and unity of Kashmir. Avoid fanning the flames of differences by sitting abroad, the defence minister stressed.
