Sources said the prime minister will be briefed on preparations for the visit during the high-level meeting, which will be attended by key federal ministers and senior government officials.
The prime minister is expected to depart for Saudi Arabia later today, where he will hold important meetings with the Saudi leadership during his two-day visit.
The meetings are expected to include consultations on regional and global developments, while the overall situation in the region will also come under discussion.
According to sources, the two sides will also discuss bilateral relations, investment opportunities and ways to further strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
