ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Civil awards have been approved for martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country and Ghazis who demonstrated courage and bravery, with 78 individuals receiving approval for honours in various categories.

A special committee meeting on Gallantry Awards was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, where civil awards for 78 individuals were approved in different categories.

During the meeting, the services of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country and individuals who demonstrated exceptional courage were acknowledged and appreciated.

Speaking on the occasion, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said encouraging those who sacrificed their lives for the country and demonstrated extraordinary bravery was a national responsibility.

He said the country remained indebted to its martyrs and Ghazis for their unforgettable sacrifices, adding that their great sacrifices were a valuable asset for the nation.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Federal Interior Secretary, Director General FIA, Additional Cabinet Secretary and other relevant officials attended the meeting, while representatives from all four provinces participated through video link.
