Summary Pakistan has fully digitized the Hajj 2027 process, enabling pilgrims to apply and pay online while reducing travel, queues and costs.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has announced that the entire Hajj 2027 process has been digitized end-to-end on the special directives of the prime minister.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said pilgrims would be able to complete their applications and payments within minutes from home through the Pak Hajj app and digital portal.
He said around 400,000 pre-registered pilgrims had entered the final stage of the Hajj application process, adding that the digital system would save pilgrims from long queues, unnecessary travel and additional expenses.
According to the minister, three digital payment channels have been introduced to enable pilgrims to pay their Hajj dues from home. Under the government’s Hajj scheme 2027, 107,526 seats have been allocated, while the 40-day long Hajj package has been fixed at Rs1.2 million.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs said collection of the first Hajj 2027 installment would begin on August 17, with pilgrims required to deposit 50pc of the selected Hajj package cost as the first installment.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said Habib Bank Limited had been appointed the authorized banking partner of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, with a memorandum of understanding signed between the ministry and the bank.
Habib Bank representative Muhammad Asad Khan said the bank was pleased to provide services to Hajj pilgrims and would facilitate them through more than 1,700 branches across the country. He added that no additional charges would be imposed on pilgrims under the bank’s Islamic banking services.
The federal minister said digitization of the Hajj process was an important step towards providing pilgrims with easier, more transparent and faster services.
