ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar has said that all requirements outlined in the Supreme Court’s order were fulfilled during the medical examination of PTI founder Imran Khan.
Speaking to media in Islamabad, Tarar said health-related matters should not be politicized, stressing that this had been the government’s position both in the past and at present.
Tarar said the government had not adopted any derogatory attitude toward Imran Khan following the court’s order and maintained that health matters should be kept separate from politics.
The information minister said the government would proceed with all matters in accordance with the Constitution and the law.
Tarar reiterated that the government had never mocked or ridiculed anyone over health matters.
Political differences, he said, were separate from health issues, which should not become a subject of political controversy.

He said the grounds cited in the review petition were before the public and stressed that no special concessions would be granted.
According to Tarar, the government’s position on health matters had not changed and would not change in the future, adding that all prisoners should have access to equal facilities rather than special treatment.
The minister further said the Supreme Court’s order had been fully implemented and that a transparent medical examination had been conducted.
He said Imran Khan’s sister and a doctor from Shifa International Hospitals were present during the examination.
Tarar said the examination was carried out transparently, with all necessary security and other arrangements in place.
He added that the administration had ensured implementation of the Supreme Court’s order in accordance with the Constitution and the law, and that all legal requirements had been fulfilled.
