ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Punjab Prosecution Department, praising its working mechanism and professional standards.
A delegation led by Punjab Prosecutor General Chaudhry Irfan Sadiq Tarar met with Chief Justice Yahya Afridi and discussed the department’s performance and professional practices.
The chief justice said prosecutors serving in the Punjab Prosecution Department were highly capable and possessed strong professional skills. He said there were no complaints against the Punjab Prosecution and described its performance as satisfactory.
He said the performance of the Punjab Prosecution could serve as a model for other provinces, urging them to seek assistance and guidance from the department. He also encouraged other provinces to benefit from its effective working mechanism and experience.
Punjab Prosecutor General Irfan Sadiq Tarar said the Punjab Prosecution had developed an effective system in line with modern requirements. He said the chief justice’s recognition of the department’s performance was a matter of honour for the institution.
Tarar said the encouragement from the chief justice would motivate officers and prosecutors to work harder. He added that reforms would be further accelerated to strengthen the rule of law and ensure effective delivery of justice.
