RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards, in coordination with Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC), thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large cache of contraband items in Pishukan area, Balochistan.
The joint intelligence-based anti-smuggling operation was conducted after acting on actionable intelligence.
During the operations, a sizeable quantity of liquor and illegal medicines was confiscated. The seized contraband items have been handed over to Pakistan Coast Guards for further legal proceedings.
The successful joint operation underscores the effectiveness of inter-agency coordination in countering smuggling while highlighting the resolve of Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards to prevent the use of Pakistani waters and land for illicit activities.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has commended the Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards for successfully foiling a major smuggling attempt in the Pashkan area of Balochistan.
