NEW YORK (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Barbuda Affairs Chet Greene on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, with both sides discussing ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
The two ministers held cordial discussions on bilateral ties and expressed a shared desire to further strengthen relations and expand cooperation in education, diplomatic training and other areas of mutual interest, according to a statement issued by the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office.
They also discussed cooperation at multilateral forums, particularly within the Commonwealth and the United Nations, and exchanged views on areas of mutual interest.
The two sides agreed to meet again at the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), scheduled to be held in St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, in November 2026.
