BERLIN (Dunya News) - A grand reception was held in honour of President Asif Ali Zardari at Germany’s Ministry of Defence, where he was also presented with a guard of honour.
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier welcomed President Zardari upon his arrival at the German Ministry of Defence. A guard of honour was presented to the Pakistani president, while the national anthems of both countries were played during the ceremony.
President Zardari is visiting Germany at the invitation of President Steinmeier. The visit holds particular significance as it is the first visit to Germany by a Pakistani head of state in 23 years.
Pakistan and Germany are also celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations this year.
During his visit, President Zardari will hold meetings with his German counterpart and senior German government officials, accompanied by a high-level delegation.
The discussions will focus on bilateral relations, regional and global developments, and ways to enhance economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
President Zardari’s visit is expected to provide fresh momentum to bilateral relations and strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Germany across various sectors.
