FIFA suspends Pakistan for failure to come up with necessary rules

This is not the first time that PFF is facing suspension
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has suspended the membership of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) for its failure to bring amendments to its constitution, which are necessary for fair elections and completion of normalization process of PFF with FIFA.
The PFF membership will be suspended till the formation of its constitution in line with International Standards, FIFA said.
This is not the first time that PFF is facing suspension. In April 2021, FIFA suspended Pakistan Football Federation when Ashfaq Hussain Group occupied PFF offices. The ban ended in June 2022.
FIFA added in its statement that the suspension will remain in place until the PFF approves the constitutional amendments proposed by FIFA and the AFC.
Due to the ban, Pakistan teams will not be able to participate in any international competition. Under the ban, all financial and technical support received from FIFA will also be suspended.
