(Web Desk) – Bangladesh’s recent victory over New Zealand has propelled several of the national cricketers up the ICC Men's ODI Player Rankings.
The three-match ODI series was leveled on Monday with a six-wicket win, thanks to standout performances from multiple players.
Opener Tanzid Hasan led the charge with a composed 76-run innings, moving up 14 places to 40th in the ODI batter rankings.
Fellow batsman Towhid Hridoy also gained recognition for his unbeaten 30, climbing five spots to joint 26th. Despite sitting out the series, New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell remains the top-ranked ODI batter.
Bangladesh bowlers made their mark as well. Spinner Rishad Hossain rose 10 places to equal 58th, while pacer Nahid Rana jumped 32 positions to 64th after claiming six wickets between them in the match.
Left-arm seamer Shoriful Islam reappeared in the bowler rankings at 39th following consistent wicket-taking in the first two matches—his first ODI appearances since 2024.
