DHAKA (Dunya News) – Debutant Azan Awais scored a century as Pakistan suffered a mini collapse on the third day of the first Test against Bangladesh here on Sunday as they scored 251-5 at lunch.
Overnight not out batsman Azan Awais was dismissed soon after completing his century in the morning session. His 165-ball 103 included 12 fours. It was maiden Test century for the debutant. Taskin Ahmad claimed his scalp caught by captain Najmul Hossain Shanto.
Pakistan resumed their first innings today at 179 for one but lost four wickets. Pakistan lost their third wicket at 226 when captain Shan Masood was out for 9 runs. Saud Shakeel could not open his account.
Salman Ali Agha was batting at 12 and Muhammad Rizwan at 8 at the lunch break.
Earlier, Bangladesh were bowled out for 413 runs in their first innings on the second day on Saturday. Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 101, Mominul Haque made 91, while Mushfiqur Rahim contributed 71 runs.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Abbas claimed five wickets and Shaheen Afridi took three, while Noman Ali and Hasan Ali picked up one wicket each.
