KARACHI (Dunya News) – The women’s T20 series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe is set to begin on Tuesday, with both teams arriving in Karachi for final preparations ahead of the opening match.
The trophy for the series was unveiled at the National Stadium Karachi, where players from both sides also took part in practice sessions.
Speaking at a press conference, Pakistan women’s captain Fatima Sana expressed confidence in her team’s form, highlighting their strong performance in the preceding one-day series.
She said the players were motivated by encouragement from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari, adding that the squad remained focused on upcoming international competitions, including the World Cup.
Fatima Sana noted that the team was following strict training and diet plans under the coaching staff and was working to address weaknesses while building on its bowling strength. She also emphasised efforts to provide opportunities to young and emerging players.
