MULTAN (Dunya News) – Pakistan Greens defeated Pakistan Whites by five wickets in the opening match of the National Champions Cup, chasing down the 277-run target with an over to spare at Multan Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan Whites won the toss and elected to bat first, posting 276 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 50 overs.
For Pakistan Whites, opening batter Shahzaib Khan played a 76-run innings, while Hasan Nawaz scored 56 and Khushdil Shah contributed 51 runs.
For Pakistan Greens, Naseem Shah claimed three wickets, while Faheem Ashraf took two. Salman Mirza and Mehran Mumtaz picked up one wicket each.
Pakistan Greens successfully chased the target with one over remaining, securing a five-wicket victory. Fakhar Zaman played a key role in the team’s win with an impressive 123-run innings.
