Summary PCB has confirmed the President’s Trophy Grade-I schedule, with eight teams set to compete in a seven-round first-class tournament from September 12 to October 28, 2026.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Cricket Board has today confirmed the schedule of the President’s Trophy Grade-I first-class tournament along with the team rosters of all the eight outfits participating in it. The first red-ball tournament of the 2026-27 domestic cricket season is set to begin from 12 September and will conclude with the five-day final on 28 October.
The eight teams include Ghani Glass, Khan Research Laboratories (KRL), Kingsmen Academy, Markhor IT Solutions (MIT), Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Pakistan Television (PTV), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).
The tournament comprises of 28 four-day first-class matches in the single-league round-robin stage where each team will play seven matches, while the top two teams will compete in the final. MIT Solutions, winners of the President’s Trophy Grade-II and Kingsmen Academy – runners up - will make their first-class debut in the tournament.
A total of seven rounds will be played in the tournament with four matches set to be played in each round. The matches will be played across four cities with Imran Khan Stadium, Peshawar, Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, Diamond Cricket Ground, Islamabad and Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi being the host venues.
In the opening round starting on Saturday, Ghani Glass will face KRL, MIT Solutions will face Kingsmen Academy, PTV will be up against OGDCL and SBP will lock horns with SNGPL.
Update on President’s Trophy Grade-II Gold and Silver:
The three-day non-first-class President’s Trophy Grade-II Gold and Silver tournaments are expected to begin in the third week of September. The schedule and information about participating teams will be shared in due course.
