(Dunya News) - Pakistan and Sri Lanka will face each other in the second semi-final of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup at the Dubai Stadium on Friday.

The match is scheduled to begin at 7pm.

Sri Lanka, representing Group B, have remained unbeaten in the tournament so far. They defeated the UAE by nine wickets, beat Indonesia by 75 runs and secured a four-wicket victory over Bangladesh in their group matches.

Pakistan, who finished their Group A campaign with two wins, opened the tournament with a 35-run victory over Thailand. They then suffered a seven-wicket defeat against India before defeating Hong Kong by 72 runs in their final group match.

In the first semi-final, India defeated Bangladesh by 40 runs to book their place in the final.

The winner of Friday’s Pakistan-Sri Lanka semi-final will meet India in the final on Sunday.

According to sources, ACC President Mohsin Naqvi is expected to distribute the prizes and present the Asia Cup trophy to the winning team after the final.

The trophy presentation is likely to draw attention following last year’s controversy involving the Indian men’s team, which did not receive the Asia Cup trophy from Naqvi after winning the tournament.
