Summary The PCB has announced a January 23 player auction for PSL 12, with the tournament scheduled from March 18 to May 2 across five to six cities.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced key decisions for the 12th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), including a player auction on January 23 and plans to hold the tournament from March 18 to May 2 across five to six cities.

The decisions were made at a meeting of the PSL Governing Council chaired by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. PSL CEO Salman Naseer, franchise representatives and other officials also attended the meeting.

The council decided that direct signings for PSL 12 will take place from October 23 to November 23. Each franchise will be allowed to directly sign one marquee player, provided the player did not participate in either of the previous two PSL seasons.

A cricket workshop for the HBL PSL will be held next week, while the gold and silver events of the National T20 Cup will also take place before the league.

Mohsin Naqvi said the HBL PSL was the biggest stage for cricket in Pakistan. He noted that the 11th edition concluded with a record number of spectators and said the PCB would build on that momentum.

He added that the league would be taken to more cities this time.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer said the race to assemble the best squads for PSL 12 had begun for all franchises.
