DUBAI (Web Desk) - Zimbabwe captain and brilliant T20 all-rounder Sikandar Raza produced a sensational batting performance at the age of 40, smashing a blistering century against Afghanistan in the second match of their three-game T20I series.

Raza scored an unbeaten 106 off just 56 deliveries at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

His explosive innings featured nine sixes and five boundaries, showcasing his remarkable power-hitting ability.

Although Raza's magnificent knock was not enough to guide Zimbabwe to victory, he created history by becoming the first cricketer aged over 40 to score a century in men's T20 Internationals.

Before Raza's achievement, the record was held by a Gibraltar batter who scored a T20I century against Bulgaria at the age of 39 years and 272 days.

With this remarkable milestone, Raza once again demonstrated that age is no barrier to sporting excellence, proving that exceptional talent, dedication and hard work can produce extraordinary achievements even at 40.
