(Web Desk) - World-renowned toy manufacturer LEGO has amazed enthusiasts by creating a life-size replica of Swedish supercar brand Koenigsegg's iconic sports car using more than 328,000 LEGO bricks.

The remarkable creation has also set a new world record as the fastest LEGO-built car, reaching a top speed of 111 km/h on the famous Goodwood Circuit in the United Kingdom.

The record-breaking run was completed by Koenigsegg's official test driver, Markus Lundh, surpassing the previous LEGO car speed record of 50 km/h by more than double.

A team of expert LEGO designers spent seven and a half months and nearly 9,400 hours building the impressive vehicle, which closely resembles the original high-performance sports car.

The car weighs 1,800 kilograms, including 400 kilograms of LEGO plastic bricks. Unlike the original Koenigsegg model, however, the LEGO version is powered by a compact yet powerful electric motor, enabling it to drive like a real vehicle while showcasing the creativity and engineering behind the project.
