LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned responses from Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and other parties regarding a petition challenging the recent hike in petroleum prices.
Justice Shahid Karim conducted the hearing on the petition filed by the Judicial Activism Panel, which has named the federal government and OGRA as respondents.
The petition argued that the recent increase in petroleum prices would exacerbate inflation. It noted that there had been no rise in international petroleum prices.
The petitioner has requested that the Lahore High Court annul the recent price hike.
Following the proceedings, the LHC requested responses from OGRA and other involved parties regarding the petition against the price increase.
