ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A nine-member delegation of the IMF (International Monetary Fund), led by Nathan Porter, will arrive here on March 3 for an economic review.

The Ministry of Finance sources told Dunya News on Tuesday that the economic review would continue until March 15.

In the first phase, negotiations would take place on technical aspects, the sources said and added that policy-level discussions would be held in the second phase.

According to sources, the IMF delegation would also give suggestions for the budget 2025-26. “Relief for the salaried class will only be possible if there is an agreement with the IMF,” they stated.

Negotiations will be held with the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Energy, Planning, and the State Bank, while discussions are also scheduled with the FBR, OGRA, NEPRA, and other institutions and ministries.

The IMF delegation will hold separate negotiations with the governments of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
