Peshawar Development Authority increases plots' transfer fee

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has increased the transfer fee for residential and commercial plots besides imposing several other charges on residents.
A statement issued by the authority stated that the transfer fee for three-marla residential plot has been jacked up to Rs22,500 from Rs11,250.
The fee for five to seven-marla plots has been fixed at Rs63,000 as compared to previous Rs31,500 while it has been increased to Rs312,000 from Rs156,000 for up to two kanals plots.
Similarly, the transfer fee for one-kanal plot has been increased to Rs1.2 million as compared to previous Rs600,000.
However, the fee for shop transfer has also been doubled as the authority will charge Rs600 instead of Rs300 per square feet.
Furthermore, PDA has also imposed charges for parks and playgrounds on residents who will pay up to Rs1,000 per month. It has also imposed street light charges on them.
