The air company changes flight schedule thrice times, leaving travellers stranded
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Passengers of a private airline bound to Islamabad from Saudi Arabia have been stranded at Jeddah Airport for the last two days after the air company changed the flight schedule thrice for unknown reasons.
The flight was first scheduled to leave Jeddah for Islamabad on March 16 at 9.45pm, but it could not depart for its destination.
The company has brought changes to the flight schedule three times, leaving the passengers with no option but to stay at high-cost hotels or on roads.
The timetable of the flight has been changed for three times from March 16. First, the flight was due to leave for Islamabad on March 18 at 5.20pm, but it could not depart. Then its time was changed and the flight was scheduled to take off on March 18, at 10.15pm, but it did not fly on this new time. Thus another schedule for flight – March 19, at 2.55am has been issued.
The stranded passengers have demanded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the aviation minister take notice the situation.
