KARACHI (Dunya News) – Gold prices slipped both in the international and local markets on Friday, giving buyers a bit of breathing space as the precious metal lost shine amid a global downturn.
In the international market, the price of gold fell by $9 to settle at $4,325 per ounce. Following the global trend, prices in Pakistan also moved south.
In the local bullion market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs900, while the rate of 10 grams also declined by Rs900. After the decrease, gold was priced at Rs454,862 per tola, while 10 grams of gold settled at Rs389,970.
Market analysts said the dip reflects a “cooling-off” phase in global prices, and while the fall offers short-term relief, volatility remains the name of the game in the gold market.
