ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has announced 35 paisa per unit increase in electricity prices across Pakistan under the quarterly adjustment mechanism.
The price hike, which has been approved for the period from October to December 2025, will apply to bills issued from March to May 2026.
This adjustment is expected to put an additional financial burden of Rs8.67 billion on electricity consumers in the country.
The move follows NEPRA's regular review of fuel cost adjustments and aims to address the rising costs in electricity generation.
