ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Electricity prices may increase by Rs0.26 per unit as the Central Power Purchasing Agency has filed a petition with National Electric Power Regulatory Authority.
The request has been submitted under the fuel cost adjustment for the month of March.

NEPRA will hear the petition on April 28.
According to the Central Power Purchasing Agency, 23 percent of electricity was generated from hydel sources in March, while nuclear power contributed 22 percent.
Around 30 percent of electricity was produced using local and imported coal, 10 percent from gas, and 5 percent from RLNG.
