ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb has presented the Economic Survey of Pakistan 2025-26 to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad, marking the formal submission ahead of the upcoming federal budget.
According to official details, the finance minister called on the prime minister and handed over the copy of the Economic Survey during the meeting. The survey provides a review of the country’s economic performance across various sectors during the current fiscal year.
It is noted that, as per the national Economic Survey, several sectors have failed to achieve their set economic targets, reflecting mixed performance in the overall economy.
Earlier, addressing the National Economic Council, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that consultations with provinces on the budget have been ongoing for several weeks. He added that discussions were also held on generating additional resources with the provinces and emphasized the need for measures to boost GDP growth and increase exports.
