KARACHI (Dunya News) – The All Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association has announced an indefinite nationwide strike beginning at 12:00am on July 22, after negotiations with the federal government failed to resolve key issues.

According to the association, talks with the Federal Minister for Petroleum ended without a breakthrough. The two sides were unable to reach an agreement on major demands, including an increase in dealers' profit margins and the proposed implementation of daily fuel price adjustments.

The association said all petrol pumps across Pakistan would remain closed from midnight on July 22, and the strike would continue until its demands are accepted.

Petrol pump owners have been urged to participate fully in the shutdown while maintaining unity and ensuring that the protest remains peaceful.

The association called on the government to take a positive and acceptable decision on what it described as the legitimate demands of petrol pump owners, warning that the nationwide strike would continue until a settlement is reached.
