The benchmark index fell by over 2,500 points to reach 166,141 points, reflecting a strong negative trend on the final trading day of the week.
The market had also closed sharply lower in the previous session. On Thursday, the KSE-100 Index dropped 3,078 points to settle at 168,865 points.
The latest decline comes as selling pressure continued to dominate trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
