(Web Desk) – Australian captain Pat Cummins and fast bowler Josh Hazlewood have been ruled out of the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan.

Cummins, who sustained an ankle injury during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India, has yet to recover. Fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is also sidelined due to hip and calf strain.

Meanwhile, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh remains out due to a back injury, requiring further rehabilitation.

Adding to Australia's concerns, batting all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has announced his immediate retirement from ODI cricket. Stoinis was initially included in the Champions Trophy squad.

As a result, Australia will need to make four changes to their preliminary squad, with an official announcement expected after the ongoing Test series against Sri Lanka.
