LAHORE (Dunya News) – Preparations for the grand opening ceremony of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 have entered the final stages. The colorful event will take place today at the historic Shahi Qila (Lahore Fort).
The ceremony will feature a panel discussion with cricket legends, while top officials from PCB and ICC, along with other distinguished guests, will be in attendance. Renowned singer Atif Aslam is set to perform the official anthem of the tournament.
The Champions Trophy will officially commence on February 19 in Karachi, with the opening match between Pakistan and New Zealand. The much-anticipated Pakistan-India clash is scheduled for February 23 in Dubai. Matches will be played in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai.
Currently, teams from Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa, and Afghanistan have arrived in Karachi, while Bangladesh and India have reached Dubai. India’s first match will be against Bangladesh on February 20 in Dubai.
