OKARA (Dunya News) – Two robbers were killed in a crossfire with the police in Okara on late Saturday.
Police claimed the encounter occurred near the football stadium within the jurisdiction of A-Division police. As a result, two suspects were killed by the firing of their own accomplices, while three others managed to escape taking benefit of darkness.
The police said the suspects were involved in robbing citizens by setting up barricades.
Two motorcycles, stolen goods, cash, and illegal weapons were recovered from the scene. Following the incident, a heavy police contingent cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to arrest the fleeing suspects.
