 KARACHI (Dunya News) - The 7th death anniversary of Qazi Wajid, a celebrated actor who made his mark on Pakistan Radio and Television with his exceptional talent, is being observed today (Tuesday).

Born in Meerut, India in 1930, Qazi Wajid began his artistic career at the age of 10, showcasing his voice-acting skills in the children's program Naunhal on Radio Pakistan. He remained associated with radio for 25 years, captivating audiences with his mesmerising voice.

Qazi Wajid made his television debut in 1967 with the drama Ek Hi Rasta on Pakistan Television. He gained nationwide fame through the drama Khuda Ki Basti and continued to achieve success throughout his career.

Some of his memorable dramas include Dhoop Kinare, Ankahi, Tanhaiyan, Hawa Ki Beti, Chand Grahan, Pal Do Pal, and Anarkali. For his outstanding contributions, Qazi Wajid was awarded the Presidential Pride of Performance medal on August 14, 1988.

Qazi Wajid passed away in Karachi on February 11, 2018, due to a heart attack. His unique roles in dramas continue to remain etched in the hearts and minds of viewers even today.
