LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistani actress, host and model Fiza Ali has come out in support of actress Nimra Khan, strongly criticising her husband over his recent remarks amid reports of differences between the couple.
Nimra Khan recently got married for the second time and shared pictures and videos from her new life on social media. However, reports of differences between the couple emerged only a few days later.
The couple allegedly began sharing statements and posts about each other on social media. Nimra’s husband also reportedly used the phrase “good riddance” in relation to the situation.
Reacting to the matter, Fiza Ali questioned how someone who had recently chosen Nimra as his life partner could now use a phrase such as “good riddance” for her.
Calling the behaviour inappropriate, Fiza openly expressed solidarity with Nimra, saying relationships sometimes do not work out and people choose separate paths, but the end of a relationship does not mean a woman’s dignity should also be compromised.
Fiza said it was inappropriate to address any woman in such a manner, particularly someone who had only recently become one’s wife.
“I stand with the actress in this matter. Nimra, keep your head held high. Someone leaving your life does not diminish your worth,” she said.
Fiza Ali’s remarks have sparked mixed reactions among social media users.
