(Dunya News) – Actress Hina Altaf has expressed concern over the challenges faced by women in Pakistan, saying that being a girl in the country has seemingly become a “sin”.

The actress recently shared her views on women’s freedom and the difficulties they encounter in everyday life, describing Karachi as a “prison” following her stay in London.

According to reports, Altaf was returning to Pakistan after spending her holidays in London. Hours before her departure, she shared a video on social media in which she described her stay in the British capital as wonderful.

In the video, the actress said she wanted to enjoy one last breakfast in London before boarding her flight to Karachi, adding that she would then have to return to what she called a “prison” in Karachi.

Highlighting the challenges faced by women in Pakistan, Altaf said girls could not live freely and even walking on the streets was difficult for them.

Her remarks drew mixed reactions on social media. While some users supported her views and highlighted the restrictions and social challenges faced by women, others criticised her for describing Karachi as a prison.
