Severe smog in Lahore prompts closure of primary schools for one week

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The primary schools in Lahore would be closed for one week in the wake of hazardous AQI levels due to severe smog.
Lahore’s government and private school are obliged to follow the instructions.
Schools for grade 1 to 5 would be closed from Nov 4 to Nov 9.
The Punjab Environment Protection Department has also issued the notification for the holidays.
The decision for extension in holidays would be reviewed later on Nov 9.
Provincial capital, Lahore has been ranked the most polluted city in the world for many days.
Punjab provincial minister Marriyum Aurangzeb revealed that polluted winds of smoke from India have aggravated the smog in Lahore.
