Important legislations expected in NA, Senate sessions today

Several bills to be moved
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Both houses of the parliament, the Senate and the National Assembly have called the important sessions separately today with key legislation on the card.
NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SESSION
The lower house, National Assembly session would be held at 4pm, for which a seven-point agenda had been issued.
According to sources, the Anti-Terrorism Amendment Bill and Bill for increasing the strength of judges in the apex court would be tabled for approval in the NA session.
The Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Amendment Ordinance will also be floated in the lower house session today.
The calling attention notice for the lower ranking of Pakistan in the Rule of Law Index would also be moved in the session.
A calling attention notice for grounding of PIA planes would be presented by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) MNA Aliya Kamran.
SENATE SESSION
On the other hand, 39-point agenda for the Senate session had also issued.
Three new bills will be tabled in the upper house session.
Meanwhile, the standing committee’s reports and approval on 11 bills are included in today’s agenda.
The government has directed parliamentarians to ensure their presence in today’s sessions.
