Synoptic situation reveals that continental air is currently dominating over most parts of country
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Mainly cold and dry weather is expected to persist in most parts of the country during next 24 hours, with very cold conditions anticipated in hilly areas during morning and night hours, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
However, light rain and snowfall accompanied by gusty winds are forecast in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir during the evening and night
The synoptic situation has indicated that continental air is currently dominating over most regions of the country, maintaining the cold and dry spell.
During the last 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed across much of the country, with very cold conditions recorded in the hilly areas. Leh remained the coldest place in the country on Monday where temperature fell up to -12 degrees Celsius.
