LAHORE (Dunya News) - Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said that attempts were made to mislead the people regarding the elections of Feb 8.

She was addressing a press conference in Lahore on Saturday.

“We are celebrating the day of progress and development today,” the senior minister said.

She added that the mandate of PML-N was stolen in 2018 and we won back it on Feb 8, 2024.

According to senior minister, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave huge relief to the people during last one year.

She said that inflation was brought to 4pc from 38pc due to the policies of PML-N.

“The foreign policy of Pakistan was damaged by the PTI during its tenure but now the friendly countries are once again approaching Pakistan due to the efforts of Shehbaz Sharif,” she said.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Punjab made unprecedented progress under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

She said that chief minister is giving scholarships and free laptops to the bright and deserving students in Punjab.

Earlier, addressing the first Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Conference of Asia and Southeast Asia in Punjab Assembly, she said that climate change is a serious issue.

“There is a dire need to devise robust strategy to deal with the climate change,” said the senior minister.

She said that steps are being taken in Punjab to cope with the challenges of climate change.
