Petitioner requested that the LHC annul the order to confiscate her bonds
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Lahore High Court has summoned Sanam Javed in person in a petition challenging the forfeiture of her surety bond.
A two-member bench, headed by Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ms. Aaliya Neelum, heard the petition filed by Sanam Javed.
In her petition, the applicant stated that Sanam Javed had failed to appear in the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore during hearings on two cases from May 9.
The ATC Lahore had rejected Sanam Javed's request for exemption from attendance, and the court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for her.
The petition further mentioned that the court had ordered the confiscation of the personal bond provided by her guarantor and father, Javaid Iqbal, and the ATC had issued a show-cause notice to Sanam Javed's father.
The petitioner requested that the Lahore High Court annul the order to confiscate Sanam Javed's personal bond and also cancel the show-cause notice issued against her father.
After hearing the case, the Lahore High Court adjourned the hearing until tomorrow (Wednesday) and summoned PTI worker Sanam Javed in person to address the matter.
