ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The recent letter written by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is being described as a “conspiracy to sabotage the revival of the country’s economy.”

This move is in line with the PTI’s historical pattern of trying to harm national development through foreign interference as Pakistan’s economy is on way to stability.

The PTI is continuously trying to undermine Pakistan’s economic stability. It prefers foreign interference over democratic or legal solutions.

Restoring economy is a top priority of every Pakistani and any obstruction will be considered against the national interest. The PTI has damaged Pakistan’s global reputation in the past, too. They party has in the past as well by presenting false narratives to the IMF.

The PTI’s submission of another dossier to the IMF is yet another attempt to damage Pakistan’s economy, which is a proof of its continued anti-state practice. Whenever Pakistan is on the verge of economic recovery, the PTI tries to sabotage development through foreign interference and conspiracies.

No patriotic political party would lobby against its own country in international financial institutions. Its letter to the IMF is not a political ploy but a direct attack on Pakistan’s economic sovereignty. The PTI leadership has sought help from foreign powers to damage the IMF deal in the past.

From protesting outside the IMF headquarters to leaked conversations of former finance ministers, PTI’s record of damaging Pakistan’s economy is clear.

When the PTI was in power, it mismanaged the economy. Now, as an opposition party, it is trying to further exacerbate the economic crisis. Finding solutions to problems through foreign intervention instead of democratic and legal means proves that PTI’s interests are in conflict with national interests.

Pakistan is currently on the path of economic recovery through strategic partnerships, trade agreements and policy reforms, while PTI is trying to sabotage it.

The timing of PTI’s submission of the dossier to the IMF is no coincidence, it is a well-thought-out conspiracy to destabilize the economy at this critical stage. No responsible political party uses economic challenges as a weapon for political gain, but PTI’s policy is contrary to the national interest.

The PTI's actions do not target any political opponent but the people, economy and future of Pakistan. Whenever Pakistan is on the path to progress, the PTI emerges as a destructive element.
