ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday announced a three-day spring festival in Islamabad.

“The residents of Islamabad can enjoy a spring festival from Feb 25 to 27. There will be food stalls, and display of parade by Rangers and Islamabad police,” he said during his visit to Police Lines.

He also witnessed rehearsal of ‘torch parade’ of the Islamabad police.

He said army bands would perform and there would be spectacular fireworks. Besides, there would be performance of camel platoon of Rangers, dance performances and tent-pegging.

Minister Naqvi later held a meeting and reviewed arrangements for the spring festival in the capital.

He said unique programmes had been planned to entertain the residents of Islamabad. These events would promote Pakistan’s culture and soft image the world over, he added.

He said foreign diplomats and CEOs would be invited to the festival to acquaint them with Pakistan’s rich culture.
