National Police Academy to be upgraded on lines of PMA Kakul: Mohsin Naqvi

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The National Police Academy (NPA) will be upgraded on the lines of Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul.
It was decided in a meeting chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi during his visit to NPA in Islamabad on Monday.
Mohsin Naqvi was briefed about the National Police Academy's upgradation plan during the visit.
The upgradation plan includes establishment of an Elite Force Training School and Technical Training Center along with indoor and outdoor firing ranges at the academy.

The interior minister directed the authorities concerned to increase the area of the parade ground while making it larger and more aesthetically appealing.
He also directed to establish a residential block for the training officers on priority basis.
He said the government's goal is to make the National Police Academy an institution of international standards while attracting officers from abroad for training.
The meeting was also attended by key officials including the Commandant of the National Police Academy, CDA chairman, IG Islamabad, DC and other relevant officials.
