Pakistan, Qatar agree to enhance cooperation to fight against drugs

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi meets Qatar's ambassador
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan and Qatar agreed to enhance cooperation against the drugs and narcotics control.
It was decided in a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Qatar's Ambassador Ali Mubarak Ali Isa Al-Khater on Thursday.
Both the dignitaries discussed matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations, and the enhancement of cooperation in various sectors.
The meeting also addressed the issue of the release of Pakistani nationals detained in Qatar. Both sides agreed to strengthen collaboration in the fight against drugs.
On this occasion, the Qatari ambassador extended an invitation to Mohsin Naqvi to visit Qatar.

The interior minister stated that Pakistan has very close ties with Qatar and he will visit Qatar soon.
He further mentioned that a Gulf States conference on drug control will be held in Islamabad in April, where the head of Qatar’s drug control department has been invited to participate.
He emphasized Pakistan's desire for closer collaboration with friendly countries on drug control.
The Qatari ambassador remarked that Pakistan is a brotherly Islamic country, and they attach great importance to their bilateral relations.
