Pakistan desires to strengthen bilateral ties with Azerbaijan: Gilani

A parliamentary delegation meets President of Azerbaijan in Baku
BAKU (Web Desk) - A parliamentary delegation led by Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani held a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Baku and discussed bilateral relations and regional situation.
In his remarks, the Senate Chairman said Pakistan is proud of its relations with Azerbaijan. He said both the countries are connected through religious, cultural and historical similarities.
Yousuf Raza Gilani said Pakistan desires to further strengthen its relations with Azerbaijan.

He noted that the high level exchanges between the two countries will help promote public diplomacy.
The Senate chairman informed the President of Azerbaijan about Special Investment Facilitation Council and referred to the investment opportunities that existed in different sectors of Pakistan including agriculture, energy and mining.
