They highlighted how unrest had negatively impacted education, trade, and social activities
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif on Saturday separately met religious figures from Kurram representing different sects here in Peshawar.
Both delegations expressed their concerns, urging strict action against troublemakers. They reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the peace agreement and assured their full cooperation with security forces and the government to restore stability.
Delegates emphasised that anti-peace elements were the real enemies of Kurram, urging the government to eliminate such forces for lasting peace.
They highlighted how unrest had negatively impacted education, trade, and social activities in the area.
Saif appealed to both sides to play a key role in restoring peace. He stated that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was making sincere efforts to find a permanent solution to the century-old conflict, with the government taking all possible measures to ensure sustainable peace.
He further warned that troublemakers were attempting to incite sectarian tension, but the government will not let them succeed.
He stressed that such elements were not just enemies of Kurram but of the entire state.
