ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan confirmed on Saturday that Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi advised the PTI to remain within the system and not to boycott during their meeting yesterday (Friday).

He was speaking to media outside the District Court Islamabad.

Barrister Gohar confirmed that the meeting with the Chief Justice took place yesterday.

He added that the PTI had a long list of charges against the government, and they were not very pleased with the judiciary.

They raised concerns regarding judicial behavior during the meeting.

He further stated that such treatment towards the PTI was not good for democracy and the law.

“PTI’s alliance delegation has gone to Karachi, and these movements will continue. They are planning to form an alliance with all opposition parties to run a movement for the supremacy of the constitution so that votes are not stolen,” he added.

Barrister Gohar further said that every political party has its own manifesto, which is why such movements take time. He said that PTI had started negotiations with the government with an open heart, hoping to find a solution through talks, but the government did not take it seriously and acted hastily.

The PTI chairman also addressed the issue of Sher Afzal Marwat, calling it an internal party matter.

“If anyone violates the party discipline, they follow a process. The decision regarding those who left the party after May 9 will be made by Imran Khan,” he asserted.

Barrister Gohar emphasised that the PTI’s stance was clear.

“The letters sent by the PTI founder, which were addressed to various individuals, pointed towards serious matters to prevent any rift between the military and the public. He assured that the internal matters of PTI are completely fine, and there is no forward bloc within the party,” he maintained.
