PM arrives in Baku on a two-day official visit

PM will hold high-level meetings with the President of Azerbaijan and other senior officials.
BAKU (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived here on Sunday for a two-day official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Upon arrival at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Prime Minister was warmly received by senior Azerbaijani officials, including First Deputy Prime Minister Yaqub Abdulla oğlu Eyyubov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yalchin Rafiyev, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Khazar Farkhadov, Pakistan’s ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin and other senior dignitaries.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold high-level meetings with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and other senior Azerbaijani officials.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers Jam Kamal Khan, Abdul Aleem Khan, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi are also accompanying the Prime Minister.
During the visit, Pakistan and Azerbaijan will engage in wide-ranging discussions on areas of mutual interest in order to further strengthen bilateral cooperation particularly in energy, trade, defence, education and climate sectors.
Several MoUs and agreements in multiple areas of cooperation are expected to be signed between the two sides during the visit.
The Prime Minister is also expected to deliver a keynote speech during a Business Forum organized in collaboration with the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO).
Pakistan and Azerbaijan share a deep-rooted brotherly relationship built on mutual trust, understanding and a longstanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
Azerbaijan remains one of Pakistan's key economic and strategic partners, with strong collaboration across multiple sectors.
The Prime Minister's visit underscores Pakistan's steadfast commitment to further strengthening its ties with Azerbaijan, fostering greater economic collaboration and exploring new avenues of partnership for shared development.
