The judge issued a stern warning and ordered submission by the next hearing date
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) reprimanded investigating officers for failing to submit complete copies of challans in 13 cases related to the May 9 incidents.
Judge Amjad Ali Shah presided over the hearing, where charge sheet copies were to be distributed among 429 accused individuals. The court had earlier directed police stations to submit complete challan copies. However, due to non-compliance, the judge issued a stern warning and ordered submission by the next hearing date.
Among those who appeared in court were Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan, while several other accused, including Omar Ayub, Shibli Faraz, Shireen Mazari, and Ali Muhammad Khan, were absent, submitting exemption requests.
The cases include incidents of arson at GHQ Gate 1, the Metro Bus Station, and a sensitive government building in Saddar.
The court has now adjourned the hearing on the 13 cases.
